# Modify Task

When a user needs to modify a task due to incorrect information, UDTS provides the functionality to modify the task.

## Modify UDTS Migration Task

Users cannot modify parameters for tasks that are currently syncing. The open modification states and types are full migration tasks/full + incremental tasks with the states "Created," "Stopped," "Failed," and "Succeeded."

Enter the task form to modify parameters. You can modify resource type, task name, information of the data source/target, etc.

The status of the modified task will be reset to "Created." When restarting full + incremental tasks after modification, they will begin from the full migration phase.

Note: Currently, modifying the data source target type and transfer task type is not supported.

## Update Task Name and Remarks

Edit the name and remarks of the UDTS migration task on the task list page.

The name can only contain Chinese and English characters, numbers, and `-_,.[:]` with a maximum length of 128 bytes; remarks have a maximum length of 255 bytes.
