Questions Related to Cross-Border Products
1、What is the latency of the high-speed channel?
SCloud will select the route with the lowest latency from the global backbone network as the actual underlying route of the user’s UDPN. Limited by the actual distances spanned by different routes and the differences in the environment, there is a large difference in latency among different routes. For example, when it comes to North China 1 - Shanghai 2 and North China 1 - Frankfurt, one crosses continents while the other is only within China, and the actual distances also vary greatly. These factors will lead to a large difference in latency between the two routes. For the specific latency of the routes, you can contact the technical support or the account manager for consultation.
2、Do you need to purchase the high-speed channel on both sides?
No. If you purchase a 2M UDPN route in North China 1 - Frankfurt, then a two-way peak bandwidth of 2M can be achieved between Beijing and Frankfurt, that is, the bandwidth from Beijing to Frankfurt is 2M and at the same time, the bandwidth from Frankfurt to Beijing is also 2M.
3、Why are the monitoring data of UDPN in two regions inconsistent? What is the peak value of the network ugress?
UDPN has two-way bandwidth. When you purchase a 2M UDPN bandwidth, the bandwidth from Region A to Region B and from Region B to Region A can reach 2M simultaneously. The monitoring respectively focuses on the outbound bandwidth of each region, so the monitored values are not necessarily the same.
