# Create Alarm Shield

## Background Information
When users need to mask the created alarms, they can create new alarm shields.

## Operating Steps
1. Log in to the cloud monitoring console.
2. Choose Alarm Management > Alarm Shield in the top navigation bar to enter the alarm shield list page.
3. On the Alarm Shield page, select a project and click New to create an alarm shield.

5. On the New Alarm Shield page, configure parameters according to the interface prompts.
6. The configuration parameters are as follows:

| Parameter  | Parameter Description            |
|:------------|:---------------------------------|
| Project*         | User's project list                |
| Resource Type* | List of products accessing cloud monitoring |
| Select Resource | Select resource objects under the specified resource type|
| Shielded Metrics* | Support to select all metrics or specific metrics |
| Activation Mode*  | Continuous activation or periodic activation|
| Execution Time* | Shielding will be effective within the specified time range|
| Strategy Name* | Custom input |


7. At the bottom right of the New Alarm Shield page, click Submit to complete the creation of alarm shield.
